For centuries, clays, especially volcanic muds, have been used to assist with stomach and intestinal issues.
Indigenous communities, including groups from parts of the Andes, Australia and Central Africa, are reported to have ingested clays for toxin removal.
Bentonite Clay, part of the Smectite family, can neutralise bacteria in the gut and assist in alleviating digestive issues.
It has been cited that Geophagy – the practice of eating the earth, could be the earliest reported form of medicine.
Edible MUD is also high in Iron and Magnesium and can be taken for overall wellbeing.
What is Edible MUD.
Edible MUD is 100% Australian Food Grade Bentonite Clay.
What does it do and why is it good for you?
Edible MUD works to adsorb the toxins, bacteria and heavy metals that may be in your body. Similar to a magnet, the negative charge it possess, when hydrated, attracts the positively-charged toxins and impurities. The clay binds these toxins and then passes them out through your regular waste management process. It is also a good source of Magnesium and Iron.
Is Edible MUD safe to eat?
Yes! We’ve selected only the finest Australian Food Grade Bentonite clay, and it is FSANZ approved.
What does Edible MUD taste like? Even though it may not look that appealing… there’s surprisingly no taste at all. There is a slight texture to it, but you’ll get used to that, we promise.
How much and how often should I eat Edible MUD?
We suggest a teaspoon (5g) mixed with 200ml of water, daily.
How can I use it?
Edible MUD can be added to water and drunk daily. Alternatively you can add it to juices, smoothies or use it however you see fit.
You will need to hydrate the clay prior to using it, in order to achieve optimum results.
Simply mix 5g of Edible MUD to approximately 200ml of water, or liquid of your choice, stir, and drink.
TIP: Add the water to the clay, not the clay to water. This will help with dissolving the clay and making it easier to consume.

Remember to try to avoid metal where possible, as this can make the Edible MUD less effective. (we’ve provided a handy bamboo teaspoon inside each Edible MUD pack, to make things easier for you)
